About five years ago, the 30-year-old advertising professional began experiencing back pain and tingling in her arms. “I felt a lot of pain in my back, my neck was always tilted forward, and my head was down. The pain also spread to my nape and shoulders,” Daiani explained.
For Daiani’s case, the only solution is surgical. “To resolve this problem, I will need surgery. And, according to the doctor, it will not be a traditional breast reduction. In my case, the nipple will need to be removed and repositioned,” she said.
Unfortunately, the procedure will affect her ability to breastfeed in the future. “[This] has shaken me a bit. I see breastfeeding as something very important, but it won’t happen. And, even though I want to be a mother, this is not something that would make me give up reducing my breast size,” she concluded.
